9w6d

We had our 10 week ultrasound today. Everything went great. Baby looks good, measures well (measured at 9w4d but with a margin of error of a couple days, so perfect), heartbeat is 170, and we watched it wave its little arms and legs at us.

When I came home I had a meltdown. Because: anxiety. I haven't completely let go of it like I thought I had.

But after crying it out, I spent a long time staring at the sonogram photo crying tears of joy, too.

And then we bought some tiny newborn socks.

Any day now this will feel real.

Love the socks :) I remember coming home from my 10 weeks ultrasound and going out with my husband to buy two car seats. I thought it was terribly optimistic of him at the time, but all went well. I think I bought some socks at the time too. Who can resist those tiny socks?

I remember the first thing I bought for this baby...a little, white onesie with a baby and daddy hippo on it that says, "I love my daddy". It made me so happy to present it to my husband. Now it is part of our taking baby home from the hospital ensemble, and it still makes me smile every time I see it. :)

Enjoy those little socks!

Lulu - so glad your 10 week scan went well! You are almost out of your first trimester. hooray! It doesn't feel that real for me either. Maybe when I can actually physically see that I have a bump? Did they do an abdominal or vaginal ultrasound with you at 10 weeks?
